- download micropython from http://micropython.org/download#esp32
If you are putting MicroPython on for the first time then you should first erase the entire flash
esptool.py --port /dev/ttyUSB0 erase_flash
esp8266
download micropython from http://micropython.org/download#esp8266
wget http://micropython.org/resources/firmware/esp8266-20180511-v1.9.4.bin
erase (optional ?) and upload
#esptool --port /dev/ttyUSB0 erase_flash esptool --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --baud 460800 write_flash --flash_size=detect 0 esp8266-20180511-v1.9.4.bin # oppure esptool --port /dev/ttyUSB0 --baud 115200 write_flash --flash_mode dout --verify --flash_size=detect -fm dio 0 esp8266-20180511-v1.9.4.bin
